Who we are

Verified Roofers (verified-roofers.com) is a directory that connects homeowners with local roofing contractors. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and how we use it.

Information you give us

• Contractor registrations. When a company applies to be listed, we collect the business name, contact email and phone number, address, website, services, company overview, social media links, logo and project photos. Once approved, this information is published on the company’s public listing (the contact email and phone are shown so homeowners can reach the company).
• Messages to contractors. When you use a contractor’s contact form, we send your name, phone number, email, address and message to that contractor and keep a copy so we can help if there is a problem.
• Reviews. If you leave a review, we publish your name, rating and review once it has been checked. Your email address is never shown.
• Contact Support. Messages sent through our contact page are used only to answer you.

Searching by address

When you search by address, the address is sent to OpenStreetMap’s geocoding service to find it on the map. If you press “Get my Position”, your browser asks for permission first; your location is used only to show nearby contractors and is not stored. Map images are loaded from OpenStreetMap.

Uploaded photos

Photos uploaded to the site are resized and stripped of embedded data, including GPS location, before they are stored.

Cookies and analytics

Visitors don’t need any cookies to use the site. Our staff use a sign-in cookie to manage the directory. If we use analytics to understand how the site is used, it measures visits in aggregate and does not identify you personally.

Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the contractor you choose to contact, with service providers that help us run the site (such as web hosting and email delivery), and when required by law.

How long we keep it

Listings stay published until the company asks us to remove them. Messages and applications are kept for as long as we need them to run the directory and resolve questions, and then deleted.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete information about you, or to remove a listing, at any time through our contact page.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
